Perhaps antibiotics may be needed if it is indeed a respiratory infection but most of the time my birds get over it themselves. They've had a sneeze or two here or there and I just give them vitamins and they get over it.

Okay, so do I finish up the Corid treatment or start giving them vitamins? I plan to get the poultry cell that was recommended in their water or do I need to use something with a little more boost?

I'm sorry, what is turf? Plastic grass comes to mind. You didn't mention what you're feeding them. If 12 weeks old, they'd still be on grower until they start laying/crowing.

Yes plastic grass is in their bedding where they roost, but it isn’t where they run around and eat or drink. I am feeding them medicated grower feed.

Poultry Cell is one of the best, if not the best.

You could stop the Corid as I'm not sure who told you to start it. It doesn't sound like they have coccidiosis. That's when they stand around listless, head down, with their wings out a little bit, and sometimes have blood in their poop. It has nothing to do with crooked necks, trouble walking, or respiratory issues.

Thank you so much for all your help. I am so new to all of this, and I just want my chickens to be healthy. I believe at one point when the chicks were around 4 weeks old, they had coccidiosis because one chick had a swollen eye. We treated them and everyone was doing great until now. I have researched a lot of different sickness in chickens, and I can never figure out exactly what to treat for. I feel down about it because I don’t want all my chicks to die from my lack of knowledge. I will try everything you recommended, and I hope they stay healthy.

I believe at one point when the chicks were around 4 weeks old, they had coccidiosis because one chick had a swollen eye. We treated them and everyone was doing great until now. I have researched a lot of different sickness in chickens, and I can never figure out exactly what to treat for. I feel down about it because I don’t want all my chicks to die from my lack of knowledge. I will try everything you recommended, and I hope they stay healthy.

No problem, many of us have been through these things and learned as we go.

Just FYI though, a swollen eye isn't a symptom of coccidiosis either, but at least they got through it. Terramycin is for eye infections and that's what many of us would have suggested, after rinsing it with saline solution.

I gave the 2 chicks I believe to be roosters, the premoxil 550 in pill form. They took it well. Other than one of them staggering a little, they are both eating and drinking and running around. The one that is staggering even flew into the roost. They are still both in the pen with the other chicks as well. I put poultry cell by rooster booster in all the chicks water.

I got these birds from a local well known hatchery. They were 4 weeks old when I got them. Also, unknowingly I got some more chicks from a friend about 3 weeks ago. I realize now I was supposed to quarantine, and I will not make that mistake again. I am new to having chickens. As for what I feed them, I give them medicated chick feed and water. I put the poultry cell in it to give them vitamins this afternoon. I also have some old chickens in a separate pen who get pellets and I also gave them the poultry cell in their water for vitamins.
