Thank You ALL,

But, My Prize Rooster just died :( ! I am sad and I am just considering giving them away and giving up on chickens! My chickens don't even lay eggs and I have like 17 hens! But I might Keep them If you give me enough reasons to keep them!

Thanks,
Devin Richard
No, dont give them away, they can and will infect someone elses flock. Submit your rooster for necropsy to find out exactly what you're dealing with. I'm sorry for your losses.

Have you told your parents that your chickens may possible have fowl cholera or pasteurella? They need to be on medication as recommended in post # 9. As Dawg53 said, your chickens should not be given away or sold--they are probably carriers of an infectious disease. You should keep them and treat them, or cull them. Please read this: http://www.thepoultrysite.com/diseaseinfo/61/fowl-cholera-pasteurellosis

Dear World,

My Rooster is starting to worry me ... I am genuinely scared for him because he has show these symptoms:

- Can only walk on one foot
- Doesn't seem as happy as a usual chicken
- Seems very depressed

I can't have any more of my chickens die, Please Help me diagnose him?
