Hi I've rescued 3 Aylesbury ducklings for a family last night. They have lived in an under bed storage box with no space to run around. They are around a month old. One of the ducklings has an extremely bad leg and is half the size of the others. The lady said she had been told it was vit b3 deficiency and gave it b3 for a few days clearly didn't work.
Whats the best thing to get into the ducklings system asap and try and give it a shot although not sure if the damage is all ready done now. Thanks

Giving the duckling a few days of B3 isn't going to show much. When one has a issue the best is the liquid B complex it works the fastest. Also depends on how long the duckling has had the issue. So start with the B complex and make sure the little duckling gets swim time very important for building leg strength. And try to keep it from over using the leg for at least a week. Swim time to build muscles, rest to not make the leg worse, and B complex for helping with niacin deficiency. Good feed is very important also. All 3 can have the liquid B complex but the one having the problem should have its own, You can put it over a small amount of treat or over a small amount of feed But make sure this one gets its full dose. When I say overusing I mean exercise is fine[swim] but running around out in the yard trying to keep up might be a little much to start.
That is great you were able to rescue these ducklings. Now hopefully you can get them healthy. Can you post a picture of the leg and maybe a video of the duckling walking?

https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/niacin-deficiency-in-waterfowl.1367557/ gives info and doses and what to look for in the liquid B complex.

The durvet vitamin B complex will take time
You may not see improvements for a few weeks
1ml daily and directly either by syringe or on a small treat so she eats it all after she seems better continue for another week

Because these guys have not had a good start I would get nutritional yeast and add 1tbs to 1 cup feed till 12 weeks
I add it to my adults feed a few times a week as well but my young ones get it from day 1 to 12 weeks daily
If providing treats ( peas is a good one for extra Niacin as well ) also provide chick grit in a separate bowl as this helps them to digest feed that isn’t the regular crumble
As @Miss Lydia said exercise should be little bits at a time so she doesn’t overuse the leg with body weight on it
Swimming let’s the leg move and build but all the weight is off allowing them to strengthen it without pressure

Thanks so much for your help I got some brewers yeast yesterday and have a vitamin b complex coming today. However on a close examination yesterday I noticed the bone above the ducks leg has actually got a bend in it rather than being straight like the other one? Excuse the tape I was in the process of taping the.legs. Any suggestions what it could be? I've attached a photo although hard to tell on the picture you should get a rough idea. I presume the vitamin b won't straighten a bone?

Must have broken it's leg somehow? Is a vet an option?
The bones may be weak, I'd def get it started on liquid B complex.
If you can post a picture of the leg so we can see it better.

Hope these pictures give you a better view. Really difficult to get a good picture. Unfortunately a vets not really an option for us I'm afraid. They've had vit b complex today and gave them some scrambled egg. They are Definitely stronger on the leg compared to when we first got them they've very happy and don't appear to be in pain.

Even if it did get a leg injury somehow the B complex and the yeast will help
I have had a few get slight sprains and limp for a little bit
I always give the B complex just to give extra help while healing

Glad to hear they are doing a bit better
Leg issues and low niacin seem to take a long time to get better but they do work with time and patience
