URGENT! FINCH NOT SITTING ON CHICKS!

LET ME TELL YOU THE STORY, MY FINCH LAID EGGS AND 2 HATCHED. SHE'S A FIRST TIME MOTHER, AND SO IS HER MATE. THEY STOPPED SITTING ON THEM TODAY AND I DON'T KNOW WHY! I THINK THE BABIES ARE GETTING COLD AND ARE GOING TO DIE! IS IT SOMETHING I DID?? THEY'RE VERY HYPER AND NOT TAKING CARE OF THEIR CHICKS! ONE IS ABOUT 3 DAYS AND THE OTHER IS ABOUT 2. PLEASE HELP! CAN I MAKE A DIY BROODER AND RAISE THEM MYSELF?

In my experience, the finches may not stay in the nest all the time but will go in and out of the nest to eat and drink. If it is not very cold in the house, you may want to find a warmer room. Finches are very tiny, it would be extremely difficult to raise them yourself. I must say i have fed baby parakeets and cockatiels but never a finch. Sometimes if a baby falls out of the nest, you can save them by warming them in your hand and breathing on them. Hopefully your babies are being fed, can you see if they have full crops?
