A couple of months ago, I had a hen with what I thought was egg yolk peritonitis. She was very lethargic, bloated, thin, and had egg-like fluid dripping from her vent. She did a strange back-and-forth movement with her neck, as if to clear her throat, and she had a lot of mucus in her bill/throat. This went on for four days. She ended up being killed by a raccoon, but the about a month and a half later, another hen showed the same signs and died the same day. Now a third hen (my favorite girl) is showing the same signs. She has a lot of water-like fluid in her throat that pours out if she tips her head down. What can I do, and what's the disease?
