Urgent help! Large sack out of throat

Sorry for this, but i need an urgent opinion! One of our hens was if he this morning, but we just came to check on her now and found this!

it looks like a sack is hanging out of her throat! She can't seem to eat, and she keeps kicking at if and knocking it from one side of her mouth to the other! It's horrible..

I looked online, but can't find anything like it! The rest of the family think we should put her down, but i want to know if there's anything that can be done. Sorry for spelling mistakes and rambling, I'm typing from my ph9ne in a panic

That looks like her crop, but I have no idea why it is coming out of her mouth...

If you can't get her to a livestock vet I would put her down. No idea how they would even fix this or what caused it in the first place.

While I would have loved some magic solution, I thank you for your honesty. Well have to have her put down

That is horrible. Poor girl. No way you can push it back down I imagine. How the heck does that even happen?

It could be her tongue. Can you look around the base of her tongu for any evidence of a hair or a string that has been swallowed and wrapped around the tongue? I have seen a picture of another hen a couple of years ago with the same type issue, but don’t know if it was caused by a sting or what.

That does look like the crop. Never seen anything like this before.

Can a tongue really get that big and round?

If possible, I would try to give a dose of benadryl if you have any. Give 1/2 of a 25 mg benadryl tablet if you vpcan get it down her throat. Looking at your picture, it really looks like her tongue has been stung or injured. She may be able to breathe okay through her nostrils. Is there any way to get her to a vet or animal ER right away. She could be fed and watered with a feeding tube or crop tube, until the swelling goes down.
