Urgent Help Needed! Ducks will not leave frozen pond-unsafe to walk on.

They WERE RESCUED -All 8 of them safe and warm now;
It is such a relief

with temps going below 0 for many days;

I tried to herd them first but rocks were hurting there feet
We had 3 guys and they got them up and put food in very large dog cadge
5 went In
Then they had to go back and get the other 3 was not easy but they got them

One of the 3 is pecking at the others was made she got left

Thank god I really do not think they would have made it with 7 more days of
Below zero

Thank goodness you all got them. No animal should have to be out in this weather if we can get them inside.

So glad you had help and got them safely put up.

I don't understand what do you mean one of the 3 is pecking at the others was made she got left?

Well she was mad that the fist 5 ducks left with out her
So when the 3 additional ducks came she was one of them
Hopefully I can ask you some questions after holiday
This is my first winter with them they were abandoned at my pond in Summer

The ducks have been in there house for several days due to below zero temps and a foot of snow
They were all doing well - I did determine one is blind -- but seems healthy-
They were all eating and then I placed a large water bowl - they all wanted to drink and they starting bitting the blind duck very badly on her neck -- I saw blood and yelled at them
They did stop but now I am worried about her - what should I do----

You need to separate her from the others maybe with a friend if there is one in the group. Since she is blind she'll have a difficult time keeping away from them.

Even if you can put a large dog crate inside with them and put her into it with food and water that will keep them from picking on her.

So sorry it's upsetting when they do this sort of thing.

It scolded them the male doing this to here and it looks like they got the message and did not do it again I kept my eye on them
Do you think it is ok to see if it happens again
Do not want to cause more stress

If you notice it again then def put her where she will be safe.

So you think she is blind in both eyes? Can she find food and water okay?
