urgent help needed fighting birds

What issue are you having? Is it your roo to his hens? How old are they, size of their enclosure and what is the gender ratio? I assume they are coturnix ,iH
Hi,
My cage is big enough, I have 4 hens and 1 roo(well, 3 now, one is isolation after her head accidently got bold and bloody) they are eating eggshells, 28% feed, lettuce, watermelon, avocado etc.

Now they are calm.

The reason I asked was I thought someone said they will mature at one point.

This is my issue

Wait.. Avocado?!? That's poisonous to birds! Do NOT feed that. For the aggression, I don't know, but I have read about quail suspected of dying because they were fed avocado and it is on just about every list of plants that are poisonous to birds.

I need some help I have 4 production reds. They are all sisters and they 2 years old and they have there pecking order. There is a rent. Today I went to outside and the rent was on the fence. She has never been on fence before. They all jump on top of her. I don't know what to do. I don't want them to hurt her. So what should I do please help me.

Ahhh okay... I think they are targeting her because she has lost so many feathers, also she is acting fearful by trying to get away from them (of course!!) which makes them want to chase.

Also if they see red blood they will want to peck it so take your runt chicken out and keep it by itself with some heat, food and water so it can heal and grow new feathers.

I think it would be best to let the chicken flock and runt chicken still see each other so if you try and introduce them again, they won't be strangers.

When/if you introduce them again she should have all her feathers and protected in a cage in the chicken coop run for a while with her own food and water and also a private shelter so she doesn't feel surrounded because they may try and fight her through the cage, at least at first...

This is a forum post about quail, you might want to post your problem and some pictures of the damage on the runt chicken in a new forum post in the "emegency" chicken part of the forum because they will be able to help you more :)

Good luck and take out the poor runt :p!
