Hello looking for urgent help!! One of my ducklings has just hatched and the egg is stuck to her tail end and the umbilical cord is looped around her ankle stopping her from separating from the egg.. does anybody know what I should do?? I was thinking of just leaving her and letting the cord dry up and detach itself as I’m worried about jeopardising the other hatching chicks if I open it to her her out

the chick seems otherwise okay, is alert and moving around and chirping, any and all advice appreciated!!

Could you post a picture, opening the incubator is fine as long as you get the humidity back up, I use either a moist sponge or towel.

Update, the other ducks knocked her around a little bit and eventually it come off, she is now doing very well :)) thanks for the help!
