Hi,
Quick background check is that i noticed we had mites and lice.
My local pet shop man said to spray the coop with one product and dip the chickens and ducks in another.
The problem i have is since dipping, some of my chickens and a few of the ducks look dizzy and can´t seem to walk that well. The others are fine. It was a hard job trying to get them in the water and there was a lot of splashing and i´m worried they may have ingested some. They are shaking there heads and some have their eyes closed.
The dip contained cypermethrin, Have i poisoned them? I am so worried. What can i do. I have given them all vitamins in their water but what else can i do, Will they die??
Please help if you can. I have already lost a few animals this spring to a mystery illness ( i am now guessing it might have been the mites)
Thanks

I accidentally over dosed my rooster with de-wormer. What I did was continually pumped them full of water and probiotics for about a week until I saw him drink on his own. The idea was to "flush" his system sorta speak.
Im not sure if this will work for you, but this is what I have done :( perhaps it can give you some ideas?
I hope someone else can reply and help you further!

THANK YOU WHITEWINTERWOLF,

When i put them to bed last night i noticed that some of the ones that seemed bad were actually a bit better and some that had seemed fine were getting it. I am hoping and thinking it might just be a very short term sort of reaction. Its morning here but still dark so i am going to have to wait another hour before i can check on them again. I was trying to encourage them to drink lots last night by putting water out in different bowls. They are so nosey they couldn´t help but have a few extra sips of water each time. I am hoping that like you did i might be able able to flush it out of their systems.

Maybe you can flavor the water a bit so they drink more of it? My hen is taking antibiotics and I filled the waterer 2 times and she tipped it over. Since I flavored the water with strawberry jello mix, she hasn't tipped it over. I also did this with another hen, who I thought broke her foot or her leg, I gave her ramen with egg in it (like egg drop soup) she ate it up quick.

Do they have access to eat greens? I've been collecting pieces of leafy greens and grass so she gets the vitamins and the chlorophyll she needs to get better.

Thankyou Gen 9,

All but one duck seem to be fine as the day has gone on. I think i am very lucky. They must have been suffering with the fumes from it. I did flavor the water with a little sugar and they have all seemed to respond. I really thought my baby giant Brahmas were going to die overnight.
I have even had two ducklings hatch today so it cant be all that bad......... amazing how quickly animals and kids can get sick and how quickly they can recover.
Thanks again
