Been to the vets with a chick and been told he has the opposite to sprayed legs. The vet said to leave him to see if he learns to stand or walk. Is this is best thing to do don't want to leave it too late if there is something I can dos the chick is 5 days old, eating and drinking if I hold him as he can't stand. The vet said if he doesn't improve in a week to cull him but I want to make sure I've tried everything first

I've looked online and can't seem to find anything for this most likely as I don't no what it's called. All I can find is hobbles this won't help

I am not seeing the front two legs together, but just looking at this one leg, it looks to have more problems than just being splayed. Honestly, I haven't had luck with straitening this type of leg problem out. I wouldn't hurt to try though right? I tape my babies legs together for a day or two. Try 2 days for this one. Will go look for something for you to watch..I think there are some things out there.

Hey, I found this one..I've never thought of doing this way before, looks great. There is another one I will post in a min. On this one, you just have to put up with the ...ahem..singing. :)

I like the chicken chick..go to her blog and she may show how she put those on the chick. I found having someone helping me hold the chick really helped when I first did this. I've done it quite a few times now. Really works well if it's just splayed leg. I personally use small strips of electric tape. Yep. Love that stuff.

This is that vet bandage.

Here is one more. I often will put a chick in a small glass..with a paper towel in the bottom, after getting the legs taped together. This helps them from falling over and being pecked on by other chicks. A few of them just don't stand well with the tape on them. So, a cup or glass really helps.
