Urgent HELP needed.......

Hello everyone
One of my peacock of 7 months was very badly and furiously pecked by his father today and when it came to my notice the back of the head and the neck of the young peacock was very badly wounded and it felt very weak.I catched him and isolated him in a small room.its been about an hour and he has not moved a bit.Since I have not encountered any such problems i washed his wounds with piodine.I dont know if that was right.please suggest me what should be done?plz help

Unfortunately he along with one of his older sister is dead but I think the wounds were not the major reason but some sort of disese with symptoms like no eating and drinking,lethargic extremely lazy,weakness,may be wants to get up and is unable to,yellow white droppings and a yellowish discharge from mouth just before he died may be u could help with recognizing the disease so i could medicate others and prevent further unfortunate happenings.Plz suggest some medicines that I could start with because i noticed white stool with yellow and green droppings in other birds.I have started flagyl but as i donot know the cause tomorrow i will get other medicines and wormers as I have not wormed them at all but now I think it has become necessary.One thing more what I observed that peafowl sense when other peafowl are sick and srart pecking them and inflicting wounds cuz today the peahen alonk with the peacock was pecking at her own son.What do u say?

If it is getting close to breeding season the cock could be frustrated and is wanting to breed. Most times this will not affect the offspring but some cocks will try to run off the competition. If the hens are not ready to mate it will make matters worse.

Sorry for your losses. Do you still have their bodies? If so, you could open them up and check for a few things. Can you get Cipro or Enrofloxacin in Pakistan?
