URGENT- opened incubator too early.

I opened my incubator because it is day 24 and I thought all the chicks were not going to hatch. I opened up some of the eggs- two of which had alive chicks but blood everywhere and they died. I put the incubator back on for the other eggs, but it was turned off for 5 mins. Do they have a chance?

Day 24? Wow, that's a really long time to have "still alive" unhatched chicks. How are you counting your days? Have you had consistent heat/ humidity? Are they on "lockdown" humidity currently (65% or so)? There's definitely something amiss with this hatch.

All that said, 5 minutes of cooling is no big issue. Broodies get off the nest to eat, etc. routinely.

The temperature is possibly too low for late hatches.
Just wait and see what happens. Do not touch anymore eggs till they pip the shell and begin zipping out.
