URGENT question! When ordering chicks...

When ordering chicks, do I have to personally go and make sure the post office will call me when they get the chicks or can I just wait and they'll call me anyway?

Most call you as its procedure, buy you can always let them know you have peeps coming.

Mine always called me because they hold for pick up and won't send them with the carrier unless I contact them and request it
Yours may be different so if you've not received chicks before I'd call and ask how they do things.
I mean why chance it when it's easy to call and ask?
