We don't know how old Miss Henny is but she was full grown 3 years ago and she doesn't seem herself. She has yellowish runny stool...can't jump down from the roost on her own...eating and drinking very little. She has some white stuff on the sides of her head. I have attached a picture. What can I do to help her?

What is your weather like?
When was the last time she laid an egg?
When is the last time you wormed her?

She was laying eggs until yesterday. Weather is warm (80-85 during the day and 60s at night). Worming was this past spring.

The most important thing to make sure of is that she is drinking water.
If she becomes dehydrated, which can happen pretty quickly, she will die.

How do the bottom of her feet look? Is anyone picking on her, not allowing her to the food and water?

I'm not seeing the white stuff on her head, do you have a different picture of it?

How can you tell if she is dehydrated? No one is picking on her YET...I will look at the bottom of her feet when I get home...what should I be looking for?

Her symptoms sound similar to those with a reproductive disorder, such as internal laying or egg yolk peritonitis, but since she laid an egg just yesterday, it may be something else. I would feel inside her vent to check for a stuck egg. Feel of her crop to check for impacted or sour crop--check it to see if it is empty, partly full, hard, soft, or puffy like a balloon. If possible, you could post a picture of her poops. Look her over for evidence of lice or mites. Really try hard to get her drinking and eating. Offer chopped egg, feed mixed with a lot of water, and add vitamins and electrolytes to her water.

Thank you Eggcessive! My husband is a fisherman and she ate 3 minnows last night. Plus she drank! I was so happy about that!
