I have a chick that is struggling. I see constant improvement so I'm not going to euthanize it. I do have a problem. I can't find my chick waterer that would be safest for this little one. Does anyone have any suggestions that don't involve going to the store. We are having bad storms at the moment.
The little one tires easily and I fear it would fall asleep in the water.

Not sure how big it is but what do you have available you could use? I fill my waterers with small rocks to keep the chicks out of the water.
It's a brand new chick. I was thinking of using a shallow lid can they get water from one of those rabbit waterer that hang on the sides of the cage?

I second a lid with marbles or stones in it. What also works whenever you can get out to the store again is a quail chick waterer. The base is just wide enough that they can drink from it but too narrow for a chick to climb in and drown
