URGENT!

I need some advice STAT, lol. My newest hatchling has a small piece of membrane that is dried right over his eye. And another piece of membrane that is dried to one of his wings. I dabbed a warm wet paper towel, but that's not helping to loosen it. I'm more worried about the one over his eye. How do I get the dried membrane off without hurting him? Or do I leave it?

I use warm water on a q-tip, so you can gently rub at the stuck membrane from different directions with a little more control. If you're gentle and patient, you ought to be able to get the membrane unstuck this way. He'd probably scratch it off himself eventually, but I usually help them get the dried bits off.
