Do you think it can be converted somehow into nesting boxes?

It's a little deep for nest boxes. And it looks too short. Well, for me so least. I don't like to stoop to collect eggs.

Thank you. I agree with the stooping! I was hoping to raise it up and install it to the coop wall. Boy i hadn't even considered depth. It is 22" deep.
