I have a pair of chocolate hens in with a chocolate tom.

I read somewhere that chocolate turkeys are harder to incubate. Death gene or something like that.

They are both laying and nest has 6 eggs in it should I wait for hens to go broody and try to let them hatch them or pick up and use incubator.

I'm not worried about the hens this time in a secure barn. Everytime I tried s broody last year something went wrong. So my success with broodys is pretty low.

Any suggestions. Welcomed.

I have some chocolates in my incubator right now! Good development so far and I can't say easy or hard until they hatch but so far so good. Turkey eggs in general I have an easy time hatching so I'm hoping mine do good. I wish you luck and hope to see pics of your success!
