So sorry about your loss. I guess we just move on and learn from our mistakes.

Another thing that people need to be aware of... If you have a regular door knob going into your coop, put a keyed lock on the door. Even if you hang the key beside the door, so a predator cannot open the door. I have 2 cats that are very proficient at turning door knobs and opening the doors. If a cat can do it, I know a coon can do it... Just a reminder.

Im sorry for your loss and VERY grateful for your sharing. I'm still too scared to leave my chicks out over night. I actually built a sleeping coop in the livingroom.
