Useful medicine?

I have some antibiotic and pain killers that were supposed to be used on my cat but never used them. One is called Clavamox which is a amoxicillin based drug and Metacam which is a pain medication. Should I toss them or could they be useful in small portions for chickens?

I think I heard of Moodychicken talking about metacam. Seems the other might be useful too. Can you call your vet and see what he says?

I'm not sure if he'd know cause they don't treat birds. Not many place around here do. One place I went to didn't see my chicken as a worthy animal and just told me to put it down. So I'm a little sceptical to call them for advice.

One vet had given me Meloxicam for chickens, I have had both, Metacam for my cat and the meloxicam for the chickens. Not sure if the two drugs are the same or at least similar. The Meloxicam dose from the vet for my 5lb silkie cockerel was .3ml
