I honestly can't really remember.
I think that it was just due to the fact that I really loved Sebrights, and sapphires were my favorite gem. Are my favorite gem. Close enough.

I chose mine because I had a goat that I loved so much named Jade so that’s my username. It’s also my favorite name!

I like my fish. This website is for chickens. I didn't want all of my animal species in my username because it would be too long, lol.
The girls have turned out to be rather fishy in the “I‘m up to something” sense of the word

BTW, can anyone recommend a chicken breed that is VERY cold tolerant and not white?

I've heard that Orloffs are good for cold areas, but they're very rare.
Other than that... I'm not sure.
