I use it rarely. Very rarely.

I'd much rather use that word every day than see tons of "my chicken appears to be unaliving. What should I do" threads and the such.

Unalived is old. Almost as old as 1337.

Right, but it's stupid. Dead and dying and killed are better words, and go to the point instead of trying to appeal to being "kid friendly".
