I was shining a flashlight into the 'bator I could see the hatched chicks. I shine it on a zipping chick and he pushes aganst the membrain. I know you can whistle and tap the glass to encourage chicks but anyone else seen that increased light helps too?

Not sure if light does or does not work but my family definitely thinks I am absolutely insane... I downloaded a ringtone of chicks peeping and when they go into lockdown and start pipping, I put my phone on the bator and play it for them.. LOL

Mine peeps and moves more when I shine the light and of course tap on the glass. I need that ring tone. lol My peeping sound is not very encouraging. lol

I think I'd feel a little conflicted about standing there chanting, "Go to the light, little chicks! Go to the light!"

My mom and i just peep peep peeped to them as they hatched, no ringtone needed lol....she caught me peeping into the vent hole of the bator and told me "you need serious help" then i come back later and catch her peeping into the bator vent and taping on the little window... i wonder if we will get a 2 for 1 discount??....
