I'm receiving my first batch of serama eggs this week and from the serama group I belong to I have been told it helps to place the eggs on a hot/cold pack (not activated) in the incubator to keep a more constant temperature. Has anyone tried this?

While it might provide a heat sink, in a normally stable incubator I wouldn't think it would be necessary. Not something I've used or heard of. Some people use sand under. That I've seen.
