Using a titan brooder plate in an outside coop?

Hi everyone!

So i just got a titan brooder plate but its bit too big for my plastic tub I'm using. I have a coop and run set up and was wondering if i could put the plate inside the coop section for them? I would mainly only need it at night as I live in Brisbane Australia so temps atm are around 13c to 23c. The chicks are also nearly 4 weeks old i'd say.

IMO, they don’t need any additional heat now. Give them a huddle box if they need a tight warm space. But 13c isn’t cold, especially in a four sided coop surrounded by other chicks.

We did it with our first hatch two years ago. They were plenty old enough to be out without it, it was more for our comfort and peace of mind.
