Using a turner

I am using an egg turner. I read something the other day that said to keep the pointed side of the egg down. So would I need to put them wide side up in the trays? I haven't seen any more information on this. Thanks!

Keep them pointed side down in the turner, for the entire time they are incubating. Once they go into lockdown, at 18 days, you'll have to take them out of the turner, and lay them on their sides on the wire floor. If you leave them in the turner, and they hatch, you could crush the chicks with the turner.
