Using Chicken Egg turner with Quail eggs?

Has anyone successfully used a chicken egg turner (with the chicken racks in) for quail eggs? i was thinking of putting 2 or so eggs in the chicken egg hole with some mesh in the bottom to hold them in. Would it work?

We use cotton in the chicken egg turner and fit the quail egg into the cotton. And yes it works.

What kind of quail are they? The only quail eggs I have had that didn't flat out fit were buttons. All the others just set right in them, just down a bit lower than chicken eggs

Are they chicken turning cups, or universal egg cups?

Ethier way, unless to make adjustments a button quail egg won't fit, lol!

They are the universal egg cups, I was going to put couturnix eggs in there but wanted to try two per cup -- just to get more in there.

Yes they do fit and will hatch. You can put an egg in the main cup and one on each side pointing upwards.

Yes, I use the hova type turner with the plastic holders. I put 2 or 3 button quail eggs in each cup..

In the main cup, I just lay them on their sides. On the sides of the main cups, I put them small end down. They hatch fine that way.
