Has anyone successfully used a chicken egg turner (with the chicken racks in) for quail eggs? i was thinking of putting 2 or so eggs in the chicken egg hole with some mesh in the bottom to hold them in. Would it work?

We use cotton in the chicken egg turner and fit the quail egg into the cotton. And yes it works.

What kind of quail are they? The only quail eggs I have had that didn't flat out fit were buttons. All the others just set right in them, just down a bit lower than chicken eggs

They are the universal egg cups, I was going to put couturnix eggs in there but wanted to try two per cup -- just to get more in there.

WOW you must have been reading my mind. I was going to ask this question just now.
If you don't mind I need another one answered so I'm gonna use your thread for it.
What direction to put a coturnix egg in the incubator?

Yes, I use the hova type turner with the plastic holders. I put 2 or 3 button quail eggs in each cup..

Hi,
Do you put them in little end up?
Different than chickens eggs??

Also can you put a cotten ball in each hole and fit a quail egg into the turner?
Thanks,
Was looking for a way to do it without buying new quail racks, they are so high.
Thank you,
Angela
