Does anyone use DE with products like Stall Dry, or even Sweet PDZ?
We're building our coop right now and are planning to use DE as a mite and worming preventative, but should I be using anything else??
BTW, we are going to be having a good bit of sand in the run too, to give them opportunity for dust baths.
Any feed back would be great!

I have always used PDZ and DE in the coop just for peace of mind. I used the deep litter method and apply a little bit of each when ever I turn over or add more shavings. The coop is well veniltated and the PDZ might be overkill, but it is not expensive and gives me another level of "control". JMHO.

Lots of folks seem to like using sand in the run. It's suggested, for better drainage, to put down a layer of small rock under a few inches of sand. I've read that sand cleans up really easily with a rake too.

I only use DE. I use dropping boards and spot clean daily, so I've never had a need for the other products.

I have a sand run, the sand is over gravel. I use DE as fly/parasite control and stall dry as moisture control if things get a little moist. This is the first I've heard of PDZ but I'm glad I learned about it in case I need it.
