Just used it for the first time a couple weeks ago - in the run and the coop. Really seemed to help with the flies...

I use a mask when I clean it out of the coop, but that is mostly because i don't want to breath poo dust. I love DE. You can use it in the yard as well to control fleas, put it on ant mounds to stop them in their tracks, and any other situation you would use a chemical pesticide (for hard shelled bugs). Just make sure you use food grade DE!!!!
