[IMG] I use pine shavings right now, but was wondering if anyone uses ABM as bedding. Our farm coop store is having a sale on "Earth Valley ABM" - $4.49 for 35 lbs. I live in the PacNorWest, so we have high humidity from fall through late spring.
This is my first time raising chickens. And I'm having a blast...love it. [IMG]

Eagle Valley ABM is manufactured of 100% whitewood with approximately 4% moisture content

Pine, a natural deodorizer, controls ammonia the natural way. There are NO ADDITIVES or CHEMICALS in our production process

Compared to regular wood shavings, our product will absorb more moisture, greatly suppresses ammonia, and provides a cleaner, safer and more pleasant living environment for your animals.

The first two quotes tell you it's just pine shavings

They also SHOULD tell you the third quote cannot be true BECAUSE it's still just pine shavings, compressed into pellets

[IMG] Thanks! Just another marketing thingie? The farm coop also is having a sale on compressed pine shavings. I guess I'll stay with that.
