using egg cartons in bator?

I am about to put some eggs in when I saw the post. There is no chemical emitted when heated ? I would imagine it would have to be melting to be of any danger right??

who said no styro in the first place?? why not ?? I would think it would be better than the paper mache ones in that the paper ones would draw the moisture out of an egg..

The second reply was the one that says the cardboard ones are better. But they were "told" cardboard was better. I would imagine the cardboard would get wet and flimsy due to the humidity.

I don't have any issues like that when I use the paper type cartons. I don't use the styrofoam ones but don't have a reason why. The paper ones don't get soggyand they don't seem to draw moisture from the eggs. That is my two cents worth.

OK.your word is good enough for me..

I tend to not rely of do's and don't comments if there is not an explanation of why to go with it..
