Using Grit in crumbles

Just curious with using grit. Is it ok to sprinkle some into the ducklings crumbles or not. They are almost 6 weeks old.

That's how I do it, I just sprinkle a little in their crumbles.

I just sprinkle a bit in a small separate dish, so they can gauge how much they are actually getting.
