Using hardwood cloth as lining for raised coop, including floor?

Hello all. My sister is building a chicken coop (first time novices) and she has an idea that hardwood cloth, when wrapped completely around the inside of the coop, including the floor would be the best protection against predators. Note that this is the area under the actual coop which is raised and would essentially close in everything save essential doors by wrapping sheets of hardwood cloth from side to side and anchoring on the bottom pieces of wood. She is currently looking for "something" to secure it to the dirt ground, or here in Georgia, red clay so that if any critters do manage to dig under it, they will come up to the hardwood cloth. I am wondering if anyone else has used this method and if so, did it work, or if not, do you see any flaws we're overlooking? Thanks for any advice you may have

A lot of people bury hardware cloth in their coop/runs or as an apron on the outside of their coop/run. You really don't want the chickens walking around on wire (I couldn't tell from your post if this would happen or not) because of bumble foot and other foot injury. Do you have photos of the coop in question?

It looks like my comments did not post. This is the flooring. The bottom and all sides, save doors will be covered in hardwood cloth. A heavy piece of wood will go down the center, where the wire is divided, to further secure it so any predator who manages to dig under it, cannot penetrate into this area. It will be covered in a thick layer of sand (or hay?) so that they do not walk directly on the wire. Off to the left of the coop will be a run. Thanks so much for your feedback!!
