Using mother natures incubator

Discussion in 'Incubating & Hatching Eggs' started by CheshieChick13, Jul 5, 2010.

  1. Well, I decided to get some fertile eggs to replace the duds my silkie hen has been sitting on for the last ten days. Any tips on replacing her eggs with the new ones, aside from watch out for that beak? I am not going to remove the duds till the new eggs arrive.

    Thanks!

I take her out and feed her a boiled egg or wild bird seed, change the eggs out. Then I move and she goes back to the nest. [IMG] I'm going to one hen tomorrow and I take some picture if you want me to.

  4. That would be great silkietime!

    Thanks so much!!
