Using this as a coop... conversion?

But what kind of conversions (other than the addition of roosts and nest boxes) would need to be done?

Ventillation and roosting bars. A nesting box is something you can build with a rubber maid

I don't remember if you're in the Tennessee mountains or in the warmer parts, but in the warmer areas the easiest way to put ventilation in, given the complete lack of roof overhangs, would be to turn the back to the prevailing winter wind then pull the siding off the other end and replace it with wire.

A hole saw could add more ventilation around the top then use some flashing to protect from rain.

It's hard to add multiple square feet of ventilation 7 square inches at a time (approximate area of a 3" diameter hole).

I had meant in addition to. But a jig saw would probably work better/quicker.

Maybe make one side of the door "fixed" and one side that opens.

I like having windows for natural lighting and extra ventilation when needed.

I would try to find a shed that has roof overhangs and soffits....
...and real rafters that can be extended.
