USPS killed my babies~

Oh ugh, I'm sorry!

I've had boxes marked "Fragile" that looked like they were run over by a truck. That is such a bummer.

I love my fedex and ups man, it's this lady..i know it! i watched her throw it down on the seat out front. This is where i started to cringe!

That has happened to me with BLRW's from a member here. The box went from NJ to Texas. The box didn't look bad from the outside but 2 of the 18 eggs inside were broken. The eggs were wrapped with a single napkin and put in a styrofoam 18 pack with a little paper in the top and bottom of the box. I PM'ed the seller and sent a pic of the eggs right away. They said to keep them updated on the hatch. I hatched 1 of the 16 I sat. I had put some BCM's the same day and 9 of 12 hatched so I know it was the eggs. I let the seller know but got no response.

Sorry to hear that.

I'm in the middle of dealing with the PO about my damaged bator. This is just another case of the USPS at its best! I have heard very very few stories about the USPS damaging a package and actually doing something positive about it. My postmaster said that the box that my bator was sent in wasn't strong enough to be shipped. When a 22inch box has and 11inch gash down the front of the box, i'm not sure that any box would be strong enough. Why cant't the PO just fess up and say" how can we make this right" instead of "there is nothing we can do"

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do if the package wasn't insured. Had something similar happen a few years ago - BLRW eggs too. Fragile written all over the box. Eggs wrapped in bubble wrap in a carton cushioned by shredded newspaper, double boxed even. Box arrived in a bag oozing egg. Lovely. Out of 15 eggs only 2 weren't cracked or completely destroyed. I did have one of those 2 hatch. I don't know how. I also don't know how the USPS manages to do such things.
