USPS Priority Flat Rate Increase

I just returned home from my Post Office and the clerk there told me that their Flat Rate Priority was increasing Jan 18

Did she say by how much? Stamps are due an increase too.

That's it... I'm not mailing anything anymore. Prices at the post office are just about the same as UPS or FedEx. We pay all our bills online and email everyone in our family.

I understand their need to raise the prices...but it still sucks.

It is usually cheaper (for me at least) to use the free priority boxes & mail things out priority mail and avoid the Flat Rate boxes all together...

So the first price is the regular Retail price. The second is commercial based and the third is commercial plus.

Don't want to start anything but I have to say, USPS is still the cheapest verses UPS and the others.

Awwwww, a rate increase.

Oh well, I get my money's worth when I ship flatrate boxes to my daughters. You should see what I can get in ONE box!! The girls love it!

I dunno if UPS is cheaper - I just sold my extra bator on ebay and the box was of course huge. For 8 lbs it was 10.80 to ship from Texas to Arkansas -- USPS would've charged me for the size of the box. (I packed the bator into another box with paper and bubblewrap)
