Usps Will No Longer Guarantee 1 Day On Live Birds!

I had birds ship from Fay at Frizzled Feathers and they came the day after. This was end of May, first day of April 2011.

Well, I say it's about time for FedEx or UPS to step in and take up the slack!!!! USPS contracts out to FedEx now, so it wouldn't be a very big stretch for FedEx to take it over completely! USPS is going to go bankrupt and be a thing of the past very shortly......sad to say! The following statement was taken out of a court file....you can see that USPS is not running their business properly.....it's costing them millions! No wonder they are going bankrupt!

An audit into USPS’s contract with Fedex by the Inspector General of the United States Postal Service, has revealed up to $94m of unnecessary expense arising from inefficiencies in the way USPS operates its contract with the carrier. In particular, the audit identified large volumes of surface mail classes, including magazines, advertising and merchandise shipped by major retailers, which could have been shipped by less costly highway or rail transportation being routed instead onto expensive FedEx planes.

Another comment I wanted to make....LOL We'll have to do like dog and cat rescues.....when somebody in another state rescues a dog then you set up a piggyback driving team. Say you had a bird going from Texas to Michigan. I would drive the bird maybe to Waco...hand off the bird to somebody that could drive from Waco to Dallas....then somebody in Dallas would take the bird and drive it to say Texarkana.....so on and so on until it reached Michigan to the final owner of the bird! Guess we would have to start something like that to get our birds from one state to another!
