Usually tame cat suddenly completely feral?

i would still be on the look out for rabies especielly since there has indeed been an outbreak i know your saying a few days but stranger things have happend. a small town about an hour away had a cat that was going around town attacking the neighbor hood dogs and even was chasing cars to atack them! the cat was doing this for a week before it was caught and euthinized it tested posative for rabies along with 2 dogs that it had attacked everyone freaked out! i dont know if somthing about that certian cat cuased it to survive the diese longer then most genetics who knows let me see if i cant find the story it was a few years ago but let me see

thank you all for your advice, I wanted to let you know that I have infact found him he was asleep in our shed, I came in to get feed and he popped his head up purring at the sight of me, he wanted loving and then took off, he does infact have a very had bite on his ear from fighting as well as a wound on his side, but I got to the bottom of that as well, apparently he and another cat were fighting on a neighbors property and they both got caught up in a jumble of barbed wire, the nieghbor tried to free them snd was successful with only what he said were a few "minor" wounds

he's got cats of his own so he understands.

anyway Griz has a vets appointment for wedsnday to get his wounds seen to, and has an appointment in june to be neutered.
