Whittni...how fun..I want one! I would say no fair, but I had a pretty nice Christmas. And I am like Lisa, kind of glad the present buying, party's, and all is over. I still have one more BIG present to happen. My son is supposed to call around 6 our time this evening..coming up!!!!

Red..where did you get that Welsummer? Me? Because I have one just that size. I can't remember who got what now. I am thinking that Exchequer came from me.

Sundance, pictures of the owl if you can. Interesting to hear of all of those different animals that are dropped off. Too bad it's a problem for them. Better than people keeping them and letting them suffer and die at home..which, soo many people do. I can see how hard it would be for the clinic to find a place for them though.

And WOW about the owl! I'm glad she could set its wing. I get so sad when I see BoP on the side of the road because a car hit them - regardless of them being a threat to chickens. By chance, does your vet friend have her clinic in West Jordan? The vet that we really like has her clinic there (Brookside) and they handle farm animals as well as domestic pets. They are wonderful people.

Dalooras, get some sleep, girl! It's tough when someone is sick and needs care, but I'm glad you and yours are getting along okay.

Nice present! My mom has a Kindle and just loves it. They're handy little things, for sure.

I got random things that I am stupid silly excited over. Like my mom got me a laundry organizer and hangars. I'm looking forward to getting it all set up. And we had a bag of gerbil and hamster grains left under our tree from "Big Hen"

It's for the bawk bawks, of course.

No my friends clinic is in Orem. She has her regular clinic and the er clinic. She does mostly small animals,

The baby chicks have have become very active. Here is the new game, jump on mom and see how long you can stay on until she shakes you off.



This little buff one has also acquired an attitude. Today my brother stop by for Christmas and i reached in the grab this one and it spread its wings and jump on my fingers and bite me (well it wasn't much of a bite). It was pretty funny. My brother used to raise fighting cocks (i know its wrong but it was 30 yrs ago and he is over it and i forgive him) and as soon as he seen the little buff attack my hand he said "i will bet ya $100 bucks that's a rooster". thinking back on when i was little i do remember him separating the chicks at very early stage. Once they feathered out his breeding rooster would kill all the young roosters that didn't get separated in time. I hope he is wrong on this one, he is out of practice,

The Exchequer is from you, as is the Leghorn/EE, the oldest Icelandic pullet, my Ameraucana's, a BO/EE, and................I think that's all. I've got two Icees from birdguy, two from Hattie (which came from Birdguy, I think) two Wyandottes from Lisa, and the rest of my chickens here are from IFA or Cal Ranch.

Sundance, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center up in Ogden loves to help birds of prey. I could arrange to get the owl from your house to there, but getting to Utah county would be tricky. Call them and see if they can help: (801) 814-7888. Let me know if you want me to do owl transport.

It sounds like your Xmas day was a lot of fun.

You guys are the greatest! I kept meaning to get on here and wish everyone a Merry Christmas but left early in the morning to help serve dinner for the Dixie Care and Share Christmas dinner. They serve up to 1500 people every year. Then Santa gives each of the kids a present before they leave. It was so great spending the day doing that but then came home and crashed. So I am wishing you all a belated Merry Christmas! It's sounds like everyone had a great day. I'm so very thankful for all of your friendship.

Cynthia how was hearing from you boy? I'm sure it made your Christmas.

I think my little white Silkie is laying again but I'm not sure. I'm getting very pointed eggs that are not like any of the others. They look like Silkie eggs too. I cannot figure this one out. She has still got a balloon belly and still acts fine. Wish I could see if she is the one laying that egg.

I also have my banty Polish in lockdown. It is day 20. I'm so worried because this will be my 3rd hatch in this new incubator and the two previous ones none of them made it once in lockdown. I'm really hoping I can hatch some this time if not the incubator will be put up for sell! This is a breeder I have hatch chicks before so if this doesn't work out I will know it's me not understanding new incubator. Lots of money has been wasted on trying to figure out the incubator too. I'm really hoping it was the shipping/ breeders.

Good luck hattie. What kind of incubator do you have? I had some bad luck as well but I bought two other incubators and they work much better, Merry christmaas to you as well. After the Hectick Christmas eve wrangling 9 or my grandchildren I stayed home and rested, I would have been better going out because I got bored and bought some hatching eggs. Not going to say what kind. I;m going to surprise everyone. Be careful everyone. there is a huge storm on the way. I was going to go to Orem to see the owl and pick up my chicken but delayed for a couple of days due to this storm. Resting again today

Sundancen my incubator is a Brinsea Octagon Advance. I have the Mini Advance Brinsea too. That one is the easiest to hatch eggs in but it only holds seven eggs.

Yay you are going to be incubating eggs! Can't wait to hear what kind. We had a little snow that melted here so I know you guys are probably going to get a big storm there. Be safe everyone.

By the way Cynthia I want your new puppy. I have always wanted a Golden Retriever. You are so lucky to have had 3. She is a beautiful dog!
