Utah!

Lisa, pneumonia?! That really sucks. I am so sorry. I hope you feel better soon.

Red, I'm so sorry about your cockerel. I hope he can make a full recovery. I hope you can figure out the culprit before you have any more injuries.

Diana, when I'm feeling human again, I'll come to your house with my chicks and do some trading.

Kimmy, legbars are supposed to be really good layers. Mine laid really well, but quit laying with the big cold snap a couple weeks ago. But, I only have 2 or 3 hens laying right now anyway, the others all quit on me too.

On Sat I was able to meet and visit with pawtraitart and see her beautiful animals. I got 3 of her plump little Marans and a darling little wheaton olive egger followed me home too! We had a great time and wanted to show you how gorgeous it is there. I can wait to go back sometime when things thaw out for another visit.

I am starting a hatch in the next seven days, lots of new breeds. Super excited and nervous!

Taking care of all these chicks is a lot of work. I check them all 2x a day to make sure no crusty butts, All are doing well. I put the scissor beak in with the seramas so I can watch him closely. I wasn't able to tell if he could eat or drink when he was in with all the chickens. With the Seramas I can watch him. Poor baby if He gets weak and can't eat or drink I'll put him down. Here are some pictures of my babies,

These are some of my Auracanas,

These I call my home grown. Mother is red sex link or Easter egger and father hatched from an Olive egg

Some of the Marans, I tried feather sexing them but all their wings look the same to me.

These are the little Seramas, Really cute and tiny

Seramas with deformed Maran chick, You can see how small they are

If anyone wants to buy some Marans let me know, They are going on KSL soon

Cute babies Sundancen and Cyndi!

Sundancen, did the marans have any feathers in their wings yet? I think mine are just to the point where I could feather sex mine today.

Lisa, I remember you saying that you get sick every year..last year. I'm sorry, that crud can really hang on can't it? I hope you get to feeling better sooner than later. So many sick folks this year. It's just awful out there. I woke up yesterday morning to a thick fog..up here ~ in Spanish Fork! We usually have wind, but haven't had in a while, so we usually don't have fog! It was pretty after it went away though. The trees have been quite pretty up here after a fog freeze.

Sphinx..feeling better? I hope the pain is a lot better by now. This is chicken mom Cynthia talking, make sure you wear your ear muffs, a hat, or scarf, or something over those ears when you go out..ya hear?

Aww, Sundance. Cute babies. Olive eggers..always, always, catches my eye in a thread.

I sold my Lavender Orpinton today on KSL pretty quick for 15 dollars. She is 3 months now, and very pretty. I will post some pictures in a min..will have her in them..and my little cute Favorelle and Welsummer pullet.

Red! You take care of yourself too. Too much stress through this dark and cold winter. I hope you find the culprit that is hurting your chickens. :(

Here are my pictures I took today. I took the ones of the lavender Orpington for ksl.

Mom? When is this cold going away? My feet are cold!
I knelt down to talk with her while I snapped some shots, she tucked her leg up, and as
I was talking with her, that's what she asked me.. pretty sure.

Isn't she purtty? She's my surprise brown egg layer.

The Lavender O. My little Sweet Pea, the little ham... and my Welsummer pullet. The Welsummer is
getting big.

Nope, you have to wait for the feathers to start to grow in. When you start to see that, then you feather sex them- two rows=Girl, one row=boy.

Cynthia, I've been so dizzy that going out has been pretty much out of the question. I ended up having a friend drive me to the doctor, and he put me on more and better antibiotics, so hopefully tomorrow I feel better.

cyndiloowho you have some cute little ones. So glad your trip didn't involve a snow storm that freeway through there can be horrible! Pretty country though but then I love the state of Idaho!

Cynthia beautiful birds! I'm so excited to have a lavender!

Red so sorry to hear about your roo. I hope he does ok and heals up nice and strong so he can stand his ground on who evers coming after them. Better yet you see who is attacking them and get rid of them pronto.

So are all you sickies getting any better?! You know who you are.

So I need some help. My little cuckoo polish is not doing well. I have brought her in for the night. The last few days we have noticed that she has not been eating or drinking much and isn't interested in treats either. She just stands all fluffed up with wings hanging. I brought her in this afternoon and had her on my lap for about an hour. She doesn't have any signs of a cold. No mites. I thought maybe she was just cold. Anyway I'm keeping her in for the night. Will see what tomorrow brings. Any thoughts?
