Utah!

Would any younger work? i have and EE female and male chick that are 6 weeks old and already outside and off heat and doing great. They are big chicks, they came from McMurray and must have come from big eggs they were nice and plump and have grown crazy fast. They are bigger than some that are much older than them. I can post a pic if you are interested. The female is the golden color and the male is the Columbian type color with the white and chocolate.
they Are more for my mother in law. She has a couple EE's and wants a chick a little older to go with this other chick I'm getting for her. I wish I could have a rooster here. They are pretty

If anybody else on here would like the EE's let me know. The boy is going to be gorgeous...I had one like this from Cynthia last year and the white and black (or dark brown) feathering was stunning! This one looks just like it so far. he is a sweet boy too. The female has an orange head with the partridge colored body. It was the second biggest chick in the McMurray batch, hoping she will lay big eggs :)

In other, wonderful news I am down to one brooder of 14 quail left in the house and one brooder in the garage with 2 wheatens and 2 silkies in it is ALL!!!!! My SG hatch next week, so that will be one more in the house. But this is great, because I had 6 brooders in the garage and 2 in the house 2 weeks ago. Yay!!!! I am feeling freedom today. Just a few waterers to clean out and fill each day WOOOOOHOOOOO!

And even better news. All 11 of the SG eggs that I had shipped to me are still going! 2 look like they are much smaller and are still moving, so I wonder if I will lose those. But I cannot believe every single egg is still going with 5 days left. And Shipped Eggs none the less. Totally unheard of at my house for sure. From NC to Utah......it is my lucky hatch. I have 2 weird air cells, the rest look like they came right from the farm.

And I got a good nights sleep and everything seems right with the world today. Finishing all the flower/garden planting today, cleaning my house, then I am going to kick my feet up and relax tomorrow. Cold- drinks-with-little-umbrellas-in-them, feet-up-on-the-patio-table relaxing. I have scheduled it lol. (I am an ultra hyper type personality, this never happens, my DH says he does not believe I am going to do it). Very very excited to be....just done....with so much!

Oh brian, your land lord won't let you have roo's? Go get a couple of these and see if he will battle it out for letting you have at least one rooster.

Picture overload of cuteness! I love my broody mama!

I lifted her up, and the 7 popped out. She started clucking at them, telling them to get
back in here! There is the pure blue one at the right. A RIW is the yellow one.The one up
front with it's head sideways came from a beautiful blue egg..has puffy cheeks.

She went back to her corner.

Can you see the baby peeking out of the front in the picture below? Cute! Can ya tell
I'm lovin it? lol..

sundance, check out this beautiful white girl. She is one of the Silkie Ameraucana mixes!
She came from one of your beautiful blue eggs. Can't wait! That is a rumpless NN. Going
to Richfield soon.

The NN on the right is for sale. Looking like a boy. The gal that I got it from insists,
that it could still be a girl, they can have the thick comb. hmmm...? A sweet boy I believe.

Another one I hatched from sundance, the little brown Serama. She is over a month old,
the Delaware is only 2 weeks old. That Serama is teensy! There is a bit of a barred rock
baby too..same age as the Delaware.

My Golden Retriever Girl is getting big. Here is Missy saying hello. 8 months today.

My NN babies...these have the bow ties, one has a loot of feathering on the front of the neck!
I thought this one was going to be all blue, but it has a lot of brown in it too. Puffy cheeks. :)

I didn't notice it had a chipmunk stripe going on until I took these pictures.

You can almost see the puffy cheeks.

This one has a lot of feathering on the front of it's neck.

The most I've ever seen on a NN's front..the back is Nacked. Makes for a cute hat.

This one is a real different color. Can't describe it, not quite a buff, but has a smokey
color in it.

Here is my Houdan. BRIAN...this Houdan is for sell. Is outside. Doesn't need heat.
If you want something different. Look them up. This one will be a mottled in coloring.
It's a girl. :)

Brian,

I have black silkie bantam that may need to go, she keeps getting picked on by my turkey. I'm not sure if we will let them go or not yet, but i also have 4 3 month olds (2) golden sex links, and (2) black australorps.

They are so dang cute. My Houdan looks just like yours, 5 weeks old today. But I'm really thinking I'm going to get rid of the Polish. I love my Houdan, I just can't get over the bright white, I love it.

All the babies are outside today in the grow out pen with the baby coop, and the only one that has dared to come outside is the Buttercup. I love her so much. She's my little Miss Queen Bee. I need to get some updated photos of her. And the other 2 mini's are in the house still with the rescued chicks. And all those chicks are about 10 days old, and they are all bigger then the Japanese Bantam. She is going to be such a peanut, I love it!

BTW, do you know around their hatch dates on all 3. I'm guessing the Buttercup is about 4-5 weeks old, but not sure on the little Bantams, just would like to mark it on the calendar.

So my neighbor came over to see the babies, and he said that my favorite EE looks like a Roo.

Please say it isn't so. I actually bought this one as a sexed Pullet at 5 days old. He said with her brown I think he called them Saddle feathers come in on her wings dubs her a Roo. He did tell me to keep him, and that he would not tell on me. Please someone tell me he is so very wrong. She is 8 1/2 Weeks Old. These are photos from last night that I took of them. If needed I can go get some in the direct sunlight.

Karen, your EE looks like a girl to me. If your neighbor was going off of the red on it, I'd think you would be seeing a LOT more red across the back/wings, starting right behind the neck. That is just my guess.

I hope your right, I wanted to smack him, and say don't jinx the poor girl. He said that with her copper coloring coming in, that is shouts out Roo. But there is no color and its practically flat comb. So I'm just praying he is very, very wrong!
