Sphinx, I have several OE's...I have hatched more.  I have another blue, and this real pretty red/brown one that I'm keeping to watch, and two out there that will be laying in a month or less, the other probably a month and a half.  I think I'll be getting some Olive Green eggs!  

I live in Ephraim, I would like her. (You can get up to 7 chickens from the 4 eggs my broody is on right? I mean chicken math and all, its perfectly possible lol. I'm hoping to get a couple of ameraucana chicks from Kyle.)

Silly, is that first picture of your little FBCM that I gave you? I can't believe how big she is! It looks like her leg/hip is doing quite well. And Sheriff has a cute little toupee. Adorable!! I love those silkies. They are so beautiful.

Sundancen, I've noticed that all of my legbar mixes have those same toupees as Silly's gray chick has. Do any of your hens have that?

yup that's my girl, and that is her good side, if you look on the other side, her hip sticks totally out, you can see her hip bone, and her wing feathers all curve straight up, and her wing is like lower and shifted off from where it really should be. She still limps very heavily, but she gets up on the roosts now, she can't fly at all, you never even see her flap her wings out like the rest, and she is the lowest girl in the pack, she really is a loner most of the day. She doesn't really adventure out in the side yard for free range, she usually stays in the run/coop area or their smaller free range in the back yard. I don't know if she really hurts while walking or not, so maybe that's why she just hangs back. But she seems fine other then that.

Hurggg, I think someone sparked broody fever at my house. Our Welsummer tried to go broody the other night and I took her eggs from her. Today, my OE was sitting on eggs in the coop and growling at me when I went to collect them. You really have to laugh about it. I knew I'd probably have some broody breeds, but I didn't anticipate that half my girls would try and go at the same time! (more or less)

Sundance, I love the broody pictures! Those little Seramas sure seem to make good mothers. And your little blue egg looks to be the same size as the eggs I get from my Leghorn. Say, weren't they supposed to lay big eggs?

Loving the other pics, as well! Everyone please stay cool and safe for the fourth. My girls got watermelon and meal worms today, hot dang.

silly, ahh shucks, I think that splash BLRW is a boy. You were saying something about the RIR's wings being barred looking..that is normal for them in the beginning. Mine is the same way right, and so were the two that just started laying for me, you should see how pretty a red they are now. Loving those Silkies! And of course, the cutest one of all, that cute little thing I get to see every time we meet up. Your daughter is adorable.
