Got some ads in my e-mail today...has anyone tried this? Does it work? Sure is cheaper than Denagard. http://meyerhatchery.com/productinfo.a5w?cat_id=1027&category=Poultry%20Supplies&grd_prodone_filter=PRODUCT_ID%20%3d%20%27VRX%27&aid=119
I actually wrote a post and I guess I never finished because it is not showing up lol...distractions..
Cynthia I did try this last winter when my Polish girl was sneezing. It is kind of like Vic's Vaporub for chickens, I tried the method of rubbing it around her nasal area...oily...did not seem to help much. THere are also directions to use a heated mist and I did not do that, it was too much work to set all that up out there. I tried floating some in the warm water for drinking too. The purpose is that it floats and gets on their nasal area when they drink, it does not dissolve into the water...you could see it bead up on the surface. Could not really tell if it was helping much, she just had a mild sneeze and I did end up putting her in a kennel in the garage and giving her denegard ...was too worried about the rest getting sick...and that worked fine.
I've been worried about you. I'm glad that you'll be in a warmer climate over the winter, too. That makes me feel better. Tellorton, if it's not too much trouble and you guys do get more pheasants (or any game bird) I'd be happy to drive down and take the feathers off your hands for you. I'd like to come and get a couple of bales of straw, anyway, if your dad still has some available. Madchicken, that is a gorgeous egg! So - my book came today! Eeeee! I need to tweak the cover a bit, but other than that, I think it turned out very well. Sorry just have to share - I'm so excited it came
