Utah!

RedIII, after looking at several molting pictures, I do think that she molting. This is her second year and she starting molting in the late fall. She is still eating and drinking. Sleeping well with the rest. She just looks naked. LOL! But after looking at those pictures. I do think that is what is happening. They will be two years in April. Melissa

Hey all! I have a French Black Copper Marans x White Leghorn rooster that needs a new home. Any takers? Also, I'm thinking about finding a place for my Silver Laced Wyandotte rooster. Would anyone be interested?

I love my silver laced hen, where do you live? I've never had a rooster. Is he mean??? Tell me why to get roosters??? Melissa

Roosters..help make babies! I would love to have a rooster for some fertile eggs! You have to know, I love to incubate. I love the little baby chicks, and I get to decide on what ones I want to keep. Fun stuff. The Rooster is actually good at keeping prediters away also. And, they will find the best goods in the yard and call the hens over. And, they will wake you up in the morning, no need for an alarm clock!

I live in Cache Valley. I just got him from a local selling chicks on KSL. I thought he was a hen, but nope! He has shown no signs of aggressiveness. He is probably about 5 months old now. And he is HUGE and BEAUTIFUL... or handsome, I guess I should say. He is an awesome roo to his flock. When we give them treats, he is the first to the food, but will not eat until all the hens are around him eating first. We really don't want to get rid of him... but... we've kept him just long enough to get some eggs in the bator (roosters aren't legal in our city). And as for why to get roosters? Refer to Cythias post :)!!!

Couldn't have said it better!

What do you do with Frozen Eggs?
As long as mine don't crack i leave them out on the counter for the day and them put them back in the fridge and use them. I will even keep the cracked ones as long as the crack is not open. When they thaw out the cracks close up and you cant tell them apart. But this is just me.
