Utah!

As for the buck, that's just ridiculous claims that people make... maybe if people do that to you again, say you'll hire a forensic investigator to see which person's bullet is in the deer ;)

Hahaha, I was ready to go stand by their vehicles and be super obnoxious about asking if they needed help hauling "their" deer. We could hear them from across the ravine talking about how it was the one "that guy shot" (DH) and to "tag it". Shame on them!

I was trying to upload a photo of my first egg, and I keep getting this message:

Some images failed to upload:

You can try re-selecting them and uploading again.

Anyone seen this prior and or know what is going on here?

RJ

Edit: Seems to be a general BYC problem, there is a thread about it, hope they get it fixed soon. I've a picture of my new little egg, that needs to be shared…

Well, while waiting to post what could be the photo of the year, the DW scrambled it and made a ham & egg sandwich (it was a small one cut in half, on the diagonal) which we throughly enjoyed. The taste was just impeccable.

Made it to the Box Elder County fair around 1:00 today. A nice showing of Banties, as well as Large Fowl, not a lot of the 'Fu Fu' type birds that many of you favor, but a few. Building is so very nice. Cages are good, everyone looked to be fed and watered. Lots of happy little 4-H'ers running around in the chickens. Good to see kids with animals. I saw a T-shirt that said 'Rabbits Rule ~ Birds Drool' I just can't get my head around that one. And the lady wearing it had problems getting it around her as well.

RJ, I haven't had that (yet). I have a couple of garden pictures to show off, so let's see if they'll load.

Nope, no error message, but I can't upload from my phone. Dang. I wanted to show my giant sunflowers on here. They were waiting for me like big jewels when I got home :)

So things are not going so well with the city council in Roy regarding the proposed chicken amendment.

Anyone on this board worked to get approval in their city that could help us?

Well,

I have an egg. Not very big, but a lovely tannish brown in color. I was not expecting one for another week or two. Nonetheless… we are some happy campers round here today. First eggs are cool.

Red, sorry bout that dark cloud following you around.

Hope the rest of you are doing good,

First born egg pictures to follow…

Me too! My barred rock laid her first egg today. Also a tan in color, and not real big yet, but they do get larger. :) I like the shape too..not like my NN that started laying the torpedo look. :/ ha.but it's an egg. This barred rock's is a nice smooth tan oval shape.

Yes, it's BYC with the problem. Other sites are also complaining. Maybe it will be worked out by tomorrow.

I love BR. They have the best personality, mine have been chatty too Cynthia, I just love it. Very curious, very adventurous, but sweet and no fighting. And good layers to boot....and oooohhh the eye candy out on the green grass!

I'm a fan of the BR's, too. My Dottie is half BR, half Dominique, and usually quite vocal. She thinks I'm her grooming buddy. Love her personality.

Cynthia, congrats on the egg! I love Rosie's looks. Such a pretty girl :)

Sundance, I just saw your response about the incubator. Thank you! I will let you know if I do indeed gather some eggs.

Rural, are you still interested in a few pullets from the BR-mix chicks my mom's broodies raised? Anyone else here interested in some chicks? Male and female, and free.

Hey guys. My dad said that I have two weeks to have my silver laced wyandottes gone or i have to kill them. I have 2 hens and 2 pullets $15 for all or $5 each.

What? Tell. You dad wouldn't do that would he? Why? You are out in the boonies now. Well, almost. A big piece of land and all!
