When my husband was building our coop he would say "I am going out to 'la casa' (the house) " and then it turned into "la casa de pollo", and we would joke about it being "the brothel" full of our ladies...haha.....giving us eggs for their daily rations....after I painted it red I found the cute white vinyl letters and put the name right on the back of the coop. It will always remind us of when we were building it, it was very exciting! You can see in my avatar if you look closely, the letters on the bottom of the coop

I would have named it "The chicken brothel" had I know how to say that in Spanish lol!

So I got on BYC one day to communicate with my neighbor across the street who also got chickens when we did. I used the picture, and the username "la casa de pollo" so she would know exactly who I was, because she had been over to see the coop on several occasions, and remembers the term we used for the coop

There is my story

Cynthia, I will be down to meet you right about 4. I will call when I leave Draper, around 3:30 so you know I am on my way. If I run early I might just get to our meeting place and look around for a bit until I meet you, I love to shop! If you need to doublecheck with me just text or call me, on my cell that you called the other night. I will be there by 4 for sure though, I have gotten my daughter's schedule and that is giving ourselves an extra hour for any delays. I am so excited for my new babies, we have their new home all ready

Your hubby did a great job on that coop. Now he can think of some way to do an add on. Looks like he enjoys building as much as my husband.

so i got my first egg from my younger ee today! threw them a party and filled their pinata with scratch so they had fun

now i am just waiting for my welsummer to lay her first egg

Yay! I finally figured out how to make my page. FYI---For anyone who has struggled with this.....DO NOT follow the BYC instructions to add photos. Just upload, then go to the thumbnail and right click the picture, copy and go to your page and right click and paste. That is it. Copy and paste, none of that other nonsense.

No it was just on sale haha! AND he is going so gray, so he shaves his head in the summer, makes him look like the granpa he is. We have 4 grandkids, I am no spring chicken, thanks for the compliment----but our oldest kids are not in the pics, we have 6, oldest is 28....do NOT do the math ha ha.....

So you go to the upload page, then left click browse, scroll to your place where your picture is on your pc....on mine is is in 'My pictures" go to the right folder and image you want, right click on it and left click 'select' to get the right picture and then the upload page will have a "submit" at the bottom.....do that, and after like a 2 week wait (jk

) the page says it is done and the picture (thumbnail) comes up. Mouse over the picture and right click, the menu comes up and left click on copy, then go back to your page and click the edit page button, left click your mouse where you want to put the picture, then right click, the menu comes us and left click "paste", then the picture magically appears. Let me know if this makes no sense
