Utah!

Yes, go ahead and put them in, turn them until the fan comes. Yes, fat end up, if you got them yesterday, you could put them in this morning. Go ahead and put those that look like they have detached air sacs, they can fake you out and be just fine. :) Don't toss any eggs until day 10.
I do have a turner in there to do it for me, but I guess what my concern is that the temps will be different (probably higher) right now then they will be once the fan comes and is installed so I will have to re-adjust. So im not sure if that would be good for the eggs to go from still air, to having to sit back out for 20 mins while hubby installs the fan and then have to check to make sure the temp is correct once its running. If it's not, then the eggs will either be sitting in it as it's re-adjusting, or be sitting back out until it's the right temp..

Here you go Lisa, a couple of photos of two different poofy babys..and the group..they are doing well, not sure my wry neck baby will make it, but it is opening it's eyes now..giving the electrolytes every hr. Just a couple of drops..it acts like it wants it! I keep it in a glass with a towel to hold the head in a downward position..not sure it's going to work..will see. :( I have chicks! Didn't want this many, but I got em! The photos aren't picking up the poofy that is there! They really are quite full in the face and cheeks. This is what I am keeping the little wry neck baby in..haven't ever, ever, seen one this bad. :( I'm trying to decide if it is wry..or if it got stuck in the corner of the box with all of the others stepping on it. I didn't even see it when I was looking in the box on the way home with them. It was right up against the corner of the box, so when I took out all of the others, I thought I was done taking chicks, thought I best double check, I only had half the lid open..and there it was, pushing with it's legs. Poor baby. It's chirping right now, not a sad chirp, just chirping.
Awww poor baby. Hate it when they have problems like that, makes you feel so sad for it. The poofies are adorable. Cute eyes too. What hatchery did they come from? They gave you lots of extras, wow!

Remember, mama hen gets up for an hr or so when she is sitting. They will be fine. 20 mins isn't long. Better than having them sit out out for 2 days or how ever long it takes for that fan to get to you.

The tracking number shows that it arrived at our post office at 8 this morning so I called them and they said they will be delivering it today. So if I get it today and let it adjust to temp for 8-12 hrs then put the eggs in around midnight or tomorrow morning, will the eggs be fine? Or should I put them in anyway?

Update: Nevermind it just arrived:) Just need to figure out how to put it in or let hubby do it when he gets home lol.

My tiny tots came. Wow! I had ordered 9, forgot I ordered a couple more than I thought.

But, got 19! And most are pullets, I can tell. There are some little boys, but mostly pullets...one has a wry neck, and of course, it's the only Domique that I ordered. I get doubles of everything else but that one breed. Keeping it inside, giving it electrolytes, and it's in a cup in the sun. No brooder in the house. It's peeping, and active, but that neck and head is way back on it's back..they usually turn sideways.

I will be giving chicks away soon. They gave me a lot of darling...darling..EE's! Poofy poofy cheeks, and they look like girls. I only want one. Got an extra leghorn, looks girly. I ordered two. Oh well, in about a week, I will know who's really looking boyish, but those EE's look like pullets. Leghorns too.

tell the hatcherie. The dominique should not have been shipped. They will credit you or send another chick

Just installed the fan & its running now. It did bring the temp up to 102 so im just waiting for it to adjust and stay to a consistant 100 degrees. Does that sound right? This fan is pretty cool. It came with a blue light so now its completely lid up the inside of the incubator so I can see the eggs and the thermometer easily.:) I'll put them in tonight.

Now I have something on my mind thats driving me nuts. Exploding eggs.. How common does this actually happen and how soon after a bad egg can it happen? I am afraid I may not be able to tell if a chick has died and then end up with a nasty smelly mess if they blow up.. :/

Nice. I'm not sure on the temp cause I have never had your setup, so I'll let someone else "chirp" in. As for the exploding egg... I think it is very rare. I have never had it in all my hatches. It is pretty obvious at the first candling @ seven days to see which ones developed. I wouldn't worry too much.

On another note: I think Dixie is broody! I am not a hundred percent sure because she's done this once before but only for a day and then didnt care. But this evening I found her on her nest with a couple of her eggs and she was intently keeping them warm. She wasent attacking me or anything but ruffles her tail up a lil bit when I pet her and talks. I picked her up and put her outside the nest and she immidiately went back in and rolled them back under her. If she is indeed broody this time, then i'd like to give her a couple of these fertilized eggs :) But im afraid to give them to her if it's just a day long phase again, and end up not caring tomorrow or a few days, and then the eggs will be bad. Should I just give her a few and see what happens? Or can I do the incubator for now and then move some eggs over to her in a few days-week if she is still acting broody. Or should I leave them wherever I start them. ?
