Oh ya he will eat anything. It just has to be big enough. I usually send them when they are 12 weeks-- before they crow but when they are at least more than a drumstick. You can bring it over here and I will call him, he shows up within a day or two. His name is Shameem. Haha. His favorite is silkie meat. I have to wait til they are as big as possible---4+ months. YUCKY. He is from India and I guess it is a delicacy over there. YUCKY. But it is Haaaard to get rid of silkie roos, so I am glad to know someone that will take them.

Ace---I have a couple that need to go to him in a couple weeks. I will let you know then you could bring yours over before he comes.

If anyone wants to spare a chicken's life---I have a Golden Cuckoo Marans/FBCM cross boy that might be the most beautiful roo I have ever seen. Free! I hate to see him get eaten. Also I have two silkies growing out that are smooth sizzle feathered, one black and one blue, free---might be girls, I kind of think they are. Free! Also 2 Blue marans, I thought they were both girls but I **think that one might be a boy. But it might still be a girl. I kept all the female looking ones, there were 6, and really only wanted 3-4. I would sell the two blue marans for whatever. A big gulp from 7-11, a donut, maybe a candy bar...really make an offer haha One has some tan leakage, so it would not be perfect colored for breeding, that one has got to be female for sure. The other is still solid blue. It really might be a girl, if you look at the boys it is not even close to what they look like, but just a teeny bit more pink than the other 5 females.

Derald I still have the two black boys for you I will bring them 11/15.

I actually worked a LOT this summer, and didn't have much time for the interwebs. Also, we bought a HUD home and are rehabbing it. Once it's fixed up, we'll move in. That will hopefully happen before Christmas. The really sad thing about this lot is it's only .25 acres, so my rooster can't come along. Also, I think I'm only supposed to have 6 hens. I figure people can't really tell the difference from 6 to 15, but I'll still have to get rid of some. I think maybe I've avoided this group because I'm trying to avoid that reality, you know?

I did do a hatch for a homeschool group. Six eggs developed, and all six hatched today. Two were hatched with fused toes, so I'm not sure how that's going to work out. They're sure cute though.

I am glad. I missed you. I'll come see your new house when I get back in the spring, I;m leaving next week and moving to Mesa for the winter bee back in April. Taking the Seramas with me and the neighbors are tending the yard chickens

Sundancen, I've missed you too! Maybe I'll have to break away from house renovations and visit you before you go to Mesa. I'm glad to hear you're going there for the winter. I think that will be so great for you!

Six chicks is fun, Lisa! SOmeday it would be even funner to hatch a couple dozen but don't have the ability now.


I am so lazy. I still haven't even put my night light out for the chickens, and laying is way, way down.

I'll also have to tell ya'll the story of the skunk.
